Also known as the Akamba are a Bantu ethnic group in Kenya. They are closely related in language and culture to the Kikuyu, Embu, Mbeere, Meru and to some extent closely to the Digo and Giriama of the Kenyan Coast. They are concentered in the lowlands of southeast Kenya from the vicinity of Mount Kenya to the Coast.
