The wedding stationery is basically that part of your wedding list items, that add oomph to the wedding decor but in very subtle and meaningful ways. It is that belly band in gold or blush pink representing your theme colors, or the gift favor tag that has been handwritten to give a personal touch while you express gratitude towards your guests. However, it is also possible that some of these terms are new and sound a little foreign to you; worry not for you are certainly in the right place. Here is what comprises of the wedding stationery, and we will go ahead to give a few ideas of where you can get these services and products.
While e-cards have become quite popular in the recent past, there are still those guests you want to invite using that well thought out, hard copy invitation card. It’s probably the most elaborate piece of your wedding stationery and should be sent probably a couple of months or weeks before the wedding.
This can be attached or included in the wedding invite envelope as it provides direction to the respective venues. It will be most especially helpful if the reception is at a different location from where the joining ceremony is being held.
Well, everyone likes to be well prepared for what is ahead of them and so this ceremony program card will be detailing what is to take place throughout the day or evening of the event. It can be issued at the entrance, be placed at the guest table or be tactfully included in the wedding invite.
This basically directs guests to their respective tables. In most cases however, the table arrangement will be found at the entrance of the reception hall giving all the guests names and where they have been placed at the table.
Close to the escort card are the place cards, which are not mandatory but proves helpful especially in a sit-down dinner reception. This has the designated table and seat; it will help the servers to know exactly who is receiving what in as far as the meals are concerned. It is a little more formal as compared to the escort cards.
These are simply placed on the tables to mark out each table for ease and order. It is particularly helpful for guiding the guests as well as ease the engagement between the Master of ceremony (MC) and the guests.
These can be placed at each guest’s seat or better still be distributed at the tail end of the event as a symbol of appreciation from the couple to their guests. This can be tiny or bug cards depending on the couple’s preference and convenience.
This is an optional add-on to the invitation card can be in form of paper, fabric or a ribbon. It neatly ties the invite pack for your intended wedding guests.
A sneak peek into what the guests shall be served, and it can be neatly placed on the tables at the reception. Better still, to avoid printing so many pieces it can be creatively done to stand at the center of each table with legible print that allows all guest to see what is being served. This is also an optional stationary that does not have to be incorporated in the package.
A well branded box, probably bearing the couple’s names and who’s intent is to carry all the enveloped gifts for the couple. It can also be made to look like a piece of jewelry that they can keep as part of their wedding memories.
Just as it sounds, its meant to carry all monetary gifts perhaps with cards and special messages from your loved ones. This will be a great exercise for you, and you partner when you finally get the chance to open and interact with every gift and message sent.
While the gift favors can come already imprinted with the name of the couple, giving it a personal touch, others will opt to have their names written on the tags. And this too can work depending on every couple’s preference. Another meaningful way to do the tags, if you are able to as a couple, is to handwrite the tags.
